Soccer Balls have been kicked around Mareeba for over half a century, and the Mareeba United football Club has been at the centre of the sport since its inception in 1963. The club has moved several times around the district, from Basalt gully in the early days, to the famous International Club in the old state league to its current ground at the “home of football in NQ” Borzi Park. The Bulls famous colors’ of orange and black have been running strong ever since, representing the Mareeba community at home and abroad, bringing home the silverware, helping put mareeba on the map as one of the states powerhouses of Queensland football.


Motorcycle Racing

The extreme sport of motorcycle racing on the Tablelands is covered by the Mareeba Motorcycle club at the famous Kerribee Park raceway. Young enthusiasts from the region take advantage of the well organized meetings throughout the year giving the thrills, spills and adrenalin pumping action for family and friends to see.



The Mareeba Golf Course is one of the Premier Golf Courses in Far North Queensland.  Rolling fairways lined with gum and eucalypt trees and pristine greens of varying difficulty make the Mareeba Golf Course a golfer’s paradise. You will be taken in by the smoothness of the fairways, the serene greenery that surrounds the course and the friendly kangaroos that call the course their home. Players from the initial area interstate and overseas have all left fulfilled after a round at the Mareeba Golf course.



The ever increasing popularity of Tennis in the district is evident by the number of players attracted to the Mareeba tennis club. Boasting 8 well maintained courts and a huge membership count the Mareeba Tennis club can provide endless hours of fun for all the family.
