An elderly couple were taken to Mareeba Hospital after being involved in a double accident earlier this morning.
The couple were reversing out of a car spot in Byrne St Mareeba at about 11 am when a car travelling down the same road collided with the back of their car.
It's believed the driver changed gears to roll forward after the collision, panicked and then car mounted the kerb, hitting part of the Central Realty shopfront.
According to a spokesperson from Queensland Ambulance "Paramedics headed to the scene on Byrnes Street at 11.09 AM. Two people have been taken to Mareeba Hospital and are now in a stable condition."
