EXCLUSIVE: In confidential documents seen by The Express, it's been confirmed that out of the three new cases of Covid-19 being reported by Queensland health, one of those cases is on the Tablelands.

It's believed that all three cases have mild symptoms and are in home isolation, it's not clear as to where the current Tablelands patient is residing.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) to five.

It's also believed that there are several more patients currently awaiting test results in Cairns Hospital.

As of last night, Queensland health had 60 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) raising the state total to 319.

The three new cases have yet to be officially confirmed by Queensland Health but are expected to be added to the state's tally later this afternoon.

UPDATE FROM QLD HEALTH AT 11am - "As of this morning, there has been a total of five confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our Health Service region. Please check www.health.qld.gov.au/coronavirus regularly for the latest advice and information."
