MAREEBA Kindy kids last Tuesday were given a chance to show their appreciation to their mothers with a personal touch. The kids were taken to the Mareeba Garden Centre with flower pots that they decorated and, assisted by the staff, planted a flower to present to their mothers on Mother’s Day.

Co-teacher and director of Mareeba Community Kindergarten Dianna Pirovich expressed her gratitude towards the staff of the Mareeba Garden Centre. “I’d like to thank the wonderful staff at the Mareeba Garden Centre for helping the kids plant their flowers,” she said. “We’ve been doing this excursion every year for the past 10 years. “The kids bring their self-decorated pots and once filled with a flower they give it to their mothers on Mother’s Day.”

Mothers Day was celebrated on Sunday May 11.
