Neighbourhood Watch launches new monthly photo competition

Neighbourhood Watch launches new monthly photo competition - feature photo

THE Northern Tablelands Neighbourhood Watch (NTNHW)  is calling on members of the community to get involved with a photo competition that is starting this week.

The competition will be held monthly and will contain a theme which will be named on the Neighbourhood Watch Facebook page.

The photos will be uploaded to the Facebook page and the photo with the most likes will  determine the winner.

The winner of each month’s competition will receive a $50 gift voucher from any local business in Mareeba (excluding alcohol and tobacco).

Mareeba Police’s Senior Constable Aleda Day said it’s a great community initiative which at the same time helps NHW gain greater exposure.

“We hope this will act as a fun activity for the community and encourage more people to visit our Facebook page,” she said.

“The winner’s photo will be placed on the NHW Facebook page and will also appear in The Express newspaper.

“So invite your friends to like our Facebook page and your photo once it is uploaded.”

The competition deadline for the first round of photo entries closes this Friday, with February’s themes being rain/lightning/storm.

For those interested, like the Northern Tablelands Neighbourhood Watch  Facebook page and email your photos to northerntablelandsnhw@hotmail.com for your chance to win.
