On 7 May, Australian singer/songwriter Missy Higgins will return to Cairns for a onenight performance after she weas forced the cancel her 2020 gig due to the Covid pandemic.

Missy has enjoyed phenomenal success with her irresistible melodies and “arrow through the heart” lyrics, delivered by a striking voice that clearly means it.

In addition to touring the world with her undeniable songs and unforgettable live performances, Missy’s highly acclaimed catalogue has sold over two millions copies globally.

With a long list of unmistakable songs including “The Special Two”, “Ten Days”, “Where I Stood” and “Steer”, she is a fivetime chart-topper and nine-time ARIA Award winner.

The special event on 7 May under the stars at Munro Martin Parklands promises to be a memorable night of remarkable Australian music.

Later in May, Kasey Chambers and Busby Marou will team up as part of the Behind the Barricades tour that will bring together great friends who write incredible songs, love to share a story and have a laugh.

With 12 award-winning albums under her belt since the release of “The Captain” in 1999, Kasey Chambers brilliant song-writing and world-class performances have earned her a rightful position on the global country artist stage.

Often described as a genre-defying singer and songwriter, she wears the honesty of country music on her sleeve, and has become one of the most popular and acclaimed artists of her generation in Australia while winning a devoted cult following in the rest of the world.

In 2018, Kasey’s exceptional career was honoured by being the youngest female ever to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. The show at Munro Martin Parklands on 21 May will feature many hit songs from her albums alongside all her crowd favourites.

Tom Busby and Jeremy Marou have been playing music together for over a decade, since their initial music connection at a pub in Rockhampton.
