Local car dealership helping little friends in need
THANKS to the generous donation of $350 worth of North Queensland Cowboys Merchandise by Andrew Ford at Mareeba Toyota, the Mareeba Animal Refuge was able to host a raffle.
THANKS to the generous donation of $350 worth of North Queensland Cowboys Merchandise by Andrew Ford at Mareeba Toyota, the Mareeba Animal Refuge was able to host a raffle.
The raffle raised altogether $1122 all together which will now greatly benefit the Animal Refuge in giving its furry residents the best starts in their new lives.
Mareeba Animal Refuge volunteer Sue Jodner, who was one of the many helpers behind this raffle, said it was amazing having the support of the community once again.
"The raffle came around after we were approaching companies in town for sponsorship for the Colour Frenzy and Mareeba Toyota and Andrew Ford kindly donated the Toyota Cowboys Merchandise Bundle for it,” she said.
“We had raffle tickets being sold in businesses across town like the Mareeba Leagues Club, Anthill Hotel and IGA which was just wonderful.
“It makes you feel really good to see that the community cares so much.”
All the money raised in the raffle will now go towards less than a month's worth of veterinary costs, the largest priority for the refuge.
Andrew Ford from Mareeba Toyota and the animal refuge’s ambassadog Nevada alongside Sue drew out Cam Messer as the winner of the raffle. \
Cam will now be able to enjoy a signed jersey, a football, stubby coolers and other Toyota Cowboys Merchandise while many small fuzzy friends receive the care before finding their new homes
