ONE of the most active Men’s Sheds on the Tablelands now have a shed to call home.

The Malanda Men’s Shed has remained without a shed, but this is finally all about to change with their new shed slab recently poured.

Thanks to the Mount Emerald Wind Farm Community Fund, the Malanda Men’s Shed has been able to secure the adequate funding required to complete their slab for their new shed.

The foundation was initially poured over two years ago at the bowls club site, next to the Malanda Showgrounds.

Due to a lack on funding the project was halted, but now with new funding in the bank and an explosion of activities and membership the shed construction has been revived.

The 12 x 12 metre shed will be used as the home base for the members, acting as a community asset with many activities planned to be held there.
