Season’s Greetings Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

MANY of us entered 2021 thinking the health pandemic that forever changed the way we live and do business in 2020 was moving behind us.

While we have left behind some of the uncertainties generated by the pandemic, COVID-19 is still very much a part of our lives.

In Mareeba we have been sheltered from government- enforced restrictions and lockdowns that have gripped the lives of our family, friends and colleague’s interstate.

Yet the pandemic has left its mark on our community – COVID-safe check-ins, social distancing, capacity limits, travel restrictions and vaccinations.

Most of our community has embraced the changes, buoyed with being able to continue to enjoy the freedoms that interstate friends and family have sadly not.

Our business community has been forced to pivot, change the way they do business and comply with new rules.

The Chamber has worked hard to galvanise the community as it continues to face a certain amount of uncertainty. As we enter the festive season and approach a new year, we remain hopeful that we will continue to experience the liberties of freedom we have come to enjoy.

On behalf of Mareeba Chamber of Commerce, I extend the warmest wishes for the festive season and a prosperous new year.

– Joe Moro, President Mareeba Chamber of Commerce
