“We can’t wait to move”
MOTHER-of-three Sarah (who does not want her surname published) is one of those buyers who is trading in the urban environment of Brisbane to live in the green hills of Atherton, despite never even visiting the town before.
“We have lived in Brisbane for about six years and made the decision to move and we wanted to be close to the reef but also have that country atmosphere,” she said.
With young children ranging from 1-6 years of age, Sarah said she wanted the children to have the space to explore, with the eldest already expressing a desire to be a marine biologist.
“We wanted to give him that chance to be close to the reef and we love the look of the environment of the Tablelands – it supposed to be much cooler,” she said.
Sarah has never been to the Tablelands and only knows what Atherton is like or, even the house she purchased, by looking online. “We can’t wait to move – we will be coming in the new year,” she said.
