The Old Post Office Gallery in Atherton will be filled to the brim with local artwork with the latest exhibition hosting the first opening since COVID this Friday.

The exhibition named, ‘A Brush with Portraiture’ is a collaborative effort from four different artists, Bev Stanbridge, Jan Steele, Carinne Robertson and Lenore Gilshenan.

All these artists are part of the local Tablelands Region Art Society (TRAS) with a vested interest in portraiture.

This opening is the first time an exhibition has been able to host an opening post COVID and the artists are excited to welcome people through the doors.

“We are very excited, and we have done a considerable amount of work including the catering,” Mrs Robertson said.

“While it will only be a small exhibition due to COVID restrictions we are still looking forward to the opening and welcoming anyone who wants to come along.”

The exhibition will remain in the Old Post Office Gallery until May 29 from 10am to 1pm for the duration of its showing.
