Mareeba residents will be able to celebrate and march in Mareeba this ANZAC day after COVID restrictions were eased across Queensland.

Mareeba residents will be able to celebrate and march in Mareeba this ANZAC day after COVID restrictions were eased across Queensland.

In a statement released by the Mareeba Shire Council they stated that,

"Veterans, service men and women, and their families will be able to march in Mareeba this Anzac Day.

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Queensland Premier announced that Anzac Day parades and outdoor events can proceed without COVID restrictions.

Following a request from the Mareeba RSL Sub-Branch, Mareeba Shire Council is providing in-kind assistance to enable the committee to hold a parade and ceremony at 10am on Anzac Day."
