Country music festival set to rock Mareeba

THE annual FNQ Country Music Festival is back again at Kerribee Park with a host of local and visiting country music artists set to light up the arena.

THE annual FNQ Country Music Festival is back again at Kerribee Park with a host of local and visiting country music artists set to light up the arena.

Hosted by the Walkamin Country Music Club, the festival kicks off this Friday night, October 11 and lasts through the weekend to Sunday October 13.

The talent quest kicks off the weekend on Friday night from 7pm with country rock and continues on the Saturday from 8am Saturday night, October 12, is the big event in the arena where country music artists will -showcase their talents for all to enjoy.

“The Big Event” will feature artists such as Naz Mclean, Jolene Ross, Mareeba band Careless, Indy-Lee Collins, Dora Gibson and Tamara Gibson, Aurelle Brunjes and Tyson Lucas from Townsville.

Bright and early at 9am on Sunday, the talent quest will resume with the fi nals to cap off the weekend long festival.

Camping, food, bar and amenities are available all weekend.
