Member for Cook Cynthia Lui today confirmed that her Electorate Office will relocate to Suite 3, (Commonwealth Centre) Corner of 104 Grafton Street and 40 Shields Street, Cairns.

The office will relocate on Monday, November 4 and will officially open for business on Thursday, November 7, 2019. During this time staff in the Mareeba Office will be working offline to assist with the move.

Ms Lui said her Thursday Island Electorate Office is operational and will attend to all constituent enquiries via telephone or email.

“If the matter is urgent, my staff and I will do our very best to coordinate a prompt response,” she said.

“Our contact details are: Telephone: 4223 1100 and Email: cook@parliament.qld.gov.au."

Ms Lui said that currently the vast number of constituents, peak bodies, industry and community organisations want to meet with her in Cairns.

“This move will ensure I can spend more time meeting with the people I represent,” she said.

“I firmly believe that the new office location will give all constituents better access to my office, so I can continue to deliver for all the communities throughout my electorate.”

“Since elected, I have worked hard to advocate for the needs of Mareeba and give the local community a strong voice in Parliament. I am proud of all of my key achievements in the Mareeba Shire.”

“I will continue to work collaboratively with the Mareeba community by holding regular mobile offices and meeting days to deliver an effective and efficient service to the community.

“I will continue to fight hard for Mareeba and the Cook electorate.”
