Queensland Health has reported three new cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the state’s total to 1,156.

All three new cases are overseas acquired and being managed by Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

Two of these cases, a male aged 40-49 years and a male aged 60-69 years, are crew members of an international vessel.

The third case, a male aged 40-49 years, is a returned traveller detected while in hotel quarantine.

He is a resident of Western Australia while all the other passengers on this individual’s incoming flight to Queensland are in quarantine.

These new cases bring Queensland’s total active case count to 7, with 1,141 recovered.

In the past 24 hours, 5,059 tests were performed.
