Students achievements awarded

ST STEPHEN’S Catholic College hosted their annual presentation night last Wednesday at the Mareeba International club in front of a host of Catholic leaders and educators from across the region.

ST STEPHEN’S Catholic College hosted their annual presentation night last Wednesday at the Mareeba International club in front of a host of Catholic leaders and educators from across the region.

The night saw upwards of 120 students receiving awards and accolades to commemorate their academic prowess and devotion.

Many students on the night received multiple awards with bursaries and extracurricular awards being presented.

There were many standout recipients with the Dux and Runner up Dux being announced, along with Sportsperson of the year and the Rotary ‘All Rounder’ Award.

School Captain and award recipient Jake Priestly stood out receiving many awards including Senior Sportsperson of the Year and the Rotary All Rounder.

There were five total Sportspersons of the year announced including junior and senior; Ned Donavan was announced Junior Male Sportsperson of the year with Emalina Fogale being the junior female recipient.

Tonia-Marie Rantucci was awarded Female Sportsperson of the year while Jake Priestly and Thomas Cuda shared the Male Senior Sportsperson of the year award.

The Senior Dux was announced and awarded to Megan Crane while the Runner Up Dux was Mikaela Millard.

The night was full of many outstanding awards and speeches to recognise the hard work that the students put into their work every day.
