Bikers dress dapper for charity
THE Highland Motorcycle Restorers Club (HMRC) will be dressing up for the upcoming 10th anniversary Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride raising money for prostate cancer and depression awareness.
THE Highland Motorcycle Restorers Club (HMRC) will be dressing up for the upcoming 10th anniversary Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride raising money for prostate cancer and depression awareness.
The ride takes place every year and this year marks 10 years since their first ride, so they have aptly named this year’s ride, ‘Decade of Dapper’.
Participating riders dress up in outfits such as suits, formal shirt and ties, clothing you would more than likely wear at a wedding and not on the open road.
President of the HMRC Don Sheppard said that the HMRC has been involved in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride since its inception.
“This ride fits nicely with us as a charity motorcycle organization as well,” he said.
Men and women riders from the Tablelands will meet at the Pitt Stop service Station Yungaburra at 11.00 am on Sunday, to ride to the Mountain View hotel to meet up with Cairns riders.
