New Tablelands ag committee meets
MEMBERS of Tablelands Regional Council’s new Agricultural Advisory Committee met for the first time last week.
Farmers from across the Tablelands came together to oppose TRC's huge rise in rates. TRC Mayor Rod Marti recommended they voiced their concerns in the new ag committee.
The new committee, which was announced in June, is aimed at assisting and providing advice to council in relation to matters affecting the region’s agricultural sector.
Twelve community members have been appointed to the committee which will be chaired by Cr David Clifton. The committee members are: James Geary, Clayton Lynch, Jason Ward, Richard Cuda, Robert Hamilton, James Gerahty, James Howe, Laurence Masasso, Maryann Salvetti, Sandra Curcio, Greg English and Colleen McLucas
