Christmas spirit on show at hospitals
HOSPITALS across the region put their festive spirits on display recently as the Cairns and Hinterlands Hospital and Health Service hosted their annual Christmas decoration competition
Mareeba medical imaging staff members Amanda Ferguson, Hannah Murat, Sharyn Banville and Irene Schleifer with just a small part of their extensive display which won them best patient participation
There were seven categories that could be entered into from best patient participation the Santa’s workshop.
The winners of each category won a $100 voucher thanks to the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation.
Mareeba maternity ward staff members Trudy Peters, Sandy Cochrane and Kayla Taylor with the start of the ward’s Santa’s workshop display
Mareeba Medical Imaging won the best patient participation category while the Atherton Hospital Medical Ward won the Santa’s Workshop category.
The overall winners of the competition were the Cairns Hospital Special Care Nursery.
