Crankworx kicks off
THE world’s best mountain bikers have converged on the far north this week as today (Wednesday) marks the beginning of Crankworx Cairns on the highly renowned downhill tracks of Smithfield, running until Sunday.

Despite being a world-class event there are other events running throughout the competition for more amateur riders who have opted not to compete professionally.
The pro competition at Crankworx will include the Trek Official Australia Whip-Off Championships, Speed and Style Cairns, the downhill, slopestyle and pump track challenge and the specialised Duel Slalom.
Some of these events will even be streamed live on Red Bull TV for those who cannot make it out to the tracks be-tween now and Sunday.
