Adorable pets looking for love
FOR any locals looking to bring a pet into their lives, consider adopting from a local refuge’s adoption day this weekend.
Mareeba Animal Refuge will be bringing their loving animals to Pets Domain, Mareeba this Saturday to try and find them a new home.
“By adopting you are saving the lives of both the pet you are taking home and the space it makes for the next rescue,” refuge staffer Felicity Pollard said.
“We always have animals on our surrender list waiting for the next available space.
“And the adoption prices don’t actually cover the cost of vet work, so you are getting a great deal. Getting a free puppy or kitten then paying for the same vet work would easily be double the price, or more.”
There’ll be a variety of cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies looking for their new best friend on the day. The refuge will also have money boards and raffles on offer.
Pets Domain is located at 52 Rankin Street, Mareeba, and the event will run from 9am-1pm this Saturday.
ADOPTION PRICES
Cats – Ranging from adoption specials of $100 to normal prices which are $190 for males and $250 for females.
Dogs – $350 for males and $400 for females and puppies under six months old.
All prices include desexing, vaccination, microchipping and up-to-date parasite prevention.
