Applications open for water
FARMERS in the Barron River region can now apply for some of 18,250 megalitres of unallocated water that has been unlocked by the State Government.

The release is aimed at driving local economic growth and creating more jobs in agriculture and other industries.
Member for Cook David Kempton said unlocking the water was a major win for local farmers, growers and industries across the region.
“By making more water available around the Barron region, the Crisafulli Government is backing our local producers to expand, diversify and keep our regional economy moving,” he said.
Applications for the unallocated water can be made before 5pm on 10 August.
