Armed robbery charges
THREE men have been charged over an armed robbery in broad daylight in Atherton last week.

The incident happened on Friday around 1.30pm when a 77-year-old was approached by a man holding a machete in Corbett Street.
The woman was exiting her white Sukuzi Ignis when she was approached by the man and threatened before taking her vehicle.
A child who was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident was safely removed prior to the vehicle leaving the scene.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was transported to Atherton Hospital.
The Sukuzi was located on Mareeba-Dimbulah Road, Mareeba about 3pm.
Following investigations, three men were taken into custody.
A 23-year-old Mareeba man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle and driving whilst unlicensed.
He was remanded in custody and was due to appear before the Mareeba Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
A 36-year-old Atherton man was charged with one count each of receiving tainted property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear in Mareeba Magistrate’s Court on 11 May.
A 41-year-old Ravenshoe man was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due to appear in Atherton Magistrate’s Court on 26 May.
