Arts grants open for Mareeba
ARTISTS and community organisations across Mareeba Shire are encouraged to bring their ideas to life, through the latest round of the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Community Grants.

Up to $10,000 is available for projects and events by individuals, not-for-profit groups and associations, and arts and cultural organisations.
The grants support initiatives that increase access to arts and cultural experiences, build skills, add to employment, and promote the value of arts, culture and heritage in the community.
A wide range of ideas are encouraged, such as performances, exhibitions, community events, strategic planning and arts sector development.
Mayor Angela Toppin said the RADF program was a vital investment in Mareeba Shire’s arts, culture and heritage, as well as community wellbeing.
“RADF supports creative projects that reflect our region’s identity, stories and heritage, while building meaningful opportunities for local artists and cultural practitioners,” she said.
“This funding enables our community to access high-quality arts experiences and helps strengthen Mareeba Shire’s cultural sector.”
Minister for Education and the Arts John-Paul Langbroek said the RADF had an impressive track record of supporting local arts and cultural programs across Queensland communities.
“For 34 years, Arts Queensland has partnered with regional councils to co-invest in local arts initiatives that generate jobs, community engagement and help boost local economies.
“Each year, RADF programs reach more than one million people across Queensland.”
Applications for the RADF Community Grant Round close at midnight on Monday, 31 August.
