Australia Post community grants now open
COMMUNITY groups have until 6 July to apply for the Australia Post Community Grants Program and receive up to $10,000 for grassroots initiatives that focus on well-being and resilience.

Since launching in 2019, the Community Grants Program has awarded more than 531 grants to organisations nationwide.
One of last’ year’s recipients, FNQ Nature Quest Ltd, received $10,000 to design and deliver a five-month nature-based recovery program for survivors of Cyclone Jasper.
“One of the most exciting outcomes has been the early development of new social connections. Friendships have already begun forming among participants, and a group chat has been established,” chief executive officer Johnny Marshall, said.
The Nature Quest grant was one of 11 provided to organisations in Queensland which received a combined total of more than $175,000, including nine groups supporting disaster-impacted communities.
The grants are aimed at fostering social connection and strengthening mental wellbeing and resilience in local communities across Australia. Australia Post has also ringfenced $250,000 to fund initiatives that build resilience following natural disasters.
“When disaster impacts a community, local organisations are often the driving force behind bringing people together and supporting long-term wellbeing,” Australia Post general manager, community and stakeholder engagement, Nicky Tracey, said.
“With deep local knowledge and trusted relationships, they understand where support is needed most.”
Applications and eligibility criteria are available at the community grants link on the Australia Post website. Applications are open until 11.59pm on Monday 6 July. Successful applicants will be notified in September.
