“She also received the Subject Award for biology and physics and received an Academic Excellence Award. Next year, Rose goes on to Melbourne University to undertake a Bachelor of Science.

“Harley has also demonstrated dedication to his studies across Year 12 with 100% internal marks for chemistry and literature, while only dropping a few marks for his other subjects.

“Harley is set on doing Medicine at JCU next year and we wish him all the best and hopefully he returns to the area to care for the health of Mareeba residents.”

Harley also received the Sr Mary Stephen Memorial Award. He was presented with the award by school principal Gary Conwell.
