Biboohra school art showcase
STUDENTS at Biboohra State School are eager to showcase their artwork to the community at a school exhibition next Wednesday afternoon.
With the theme of ‘Imperfectly Perfect’, the exhibition will feature artwork from Prep all the way through Year 6 and celebrate individuality, creativity and the unexpected results that happen when children are given the freedom to experiment.
“As the school art teacher, I am passionate about highlighting the important place visual arts has in education,” Ms Cadby said.
“Art isn’t simply about making something look beautiful, it develops creativity, confidence, critical thinking and the ability to communicate ideas in different ways.”
Following the official opening, families will be invited to visit classrooms and explore their children’s wider learning journey, with the exhibition staying on display for a full week.
The event will be held from 3.15pm Wednesday 28 October in the school library. Nibbles and light refreshments will be provided following the opening.
