Big four bank to close early in Atherton
IN the recent trend of bank changes Atherton’s Commonwealth Bank branch has joined the fray after it was announced that they would have new trading hours as of October 4.
IN the recent trend of bank changes Atherton’s Commonwealth Bank branch has joined the fray after it was announced that they would have new trading hours as of October 4.
As part of a nationwide change Atherton’s Commonwealth Bank branch has joined 90 other regional branches as they change their operating times.
Initially the branch opened at 9.30am until 4pm, now under the new changes the bank will close at 1pm.
The change was out in place to match demand from Commonwealth customers through their phone and online channels, those who do bank instore often choose in the morning or on their lunch breaks.
Commonwealth Bank Executive General Manager Mark Jones said that these changes have been made adapt to the evolving needs of customers.
“Our branches in regional Australia will continue to play an important role in delivering great service to our customers now and into the future,” they said.
“This is an example of how we are adapting to meet changing customers’ evolving needs while ensuring jobs stay in regional communities.
“We understand these changes may be an adjustment for some of our customers, and the team at their local branch will continue to be available to help them fi nd the solutions that best suit their needs.”
