The Victorian man reported missing in the Upper Daintree on December 23 has been located safe and well.
Police found the man late yesterday afternoon on the Creb Track.
He was in good physical condition considering he had been in the rain forest for three weeks.
Milan Lemic, 25, disappeared on December 22 after his car got stuck at Bairds Crossing near the Upper Daintree Village.
There were several unconfirmed but credible sightings of Mr Lemic around the Daintree, leading police to suspend the search for some time.
Police have said the rescue of the Melbourne man, shouldn’t be referred to as “a remarkable story of survival”.
“It could well be a case of active avoidance for some time from police and other authorities like the SES who have volunteered their time and their energy to try and locate this person”
Police would like to thank all the volunteers who gave their time over Christmas to help search for the man.
