THE countdown is on for one of the Tablelands’ most anticipated annual events as the Malanda Bull Ride prepares to thrill crowds once again on 10 October.
THE countdown is on for one of the Tablelands’ most anticipated annual events as the Malanda Bull Ride prepares to thrill crowds once again on 10 October.
Presented by the Big Pub Malanda, the high-energy event promises another unforgettable evening of professional bull riding, live music, entertainment, and community spirit.
Building on the success of previous years, this year’s event is set to deliver an action-packed program featuring some of the region’s best bull riders, exciting competitions, and plenty of entertainment for spectators of all ages.
Events on show will include a thrilling mix of calf rides, novice and junior competitions, and mini bulls, before the focus turns to the exciting Open Bull Ride.
With major prize money on offer, the Fahlstrom Scaffold Open Bull Ride is expected to attract the region’s best riders and a large, enthusiastic crowd from across the Tablelands and beyond.
A live big-screen display will ensure spectators do not miss a moment of the action, while food vendors, a bar service, and market stalls will be on site providing something for everyone.
The excitement won’t end when the bulls leave the arena however, with the much-loved Malanda star Jacynta’lee heading the official afterparty with her country sound.
Riders looking to nominate for the Malanda Bull Ride can do so from Sunday 13 September, with competitors encouraged to nominate early due to limited spaces.
The event will be held at the Malanda Showgrounds on Saturday, 10 October. Gates will open at 2pm, with all the action commencing from 3pm.
