Bulls Gear Up for Grand Final Tomorrow

The Mareeba Bulls will field a team tomorrow in what has turned out to be a shambolic finish for the men’s FQPL Far North & Gulf grand final.

The Bulls became contenders on Wednesday, after Football Queensland disqualified Leichhardt for fielding ineligible players in the preliminary final the previous weekend.

The Mareeba United Football Club requested a deferral of the match to 21 September because it was such short notice and the team had not trained. Many of the players had also booked trips away after the preliminary result, believing their season was over.

FQ today dismissed the request and the grand final is scheduled on its website to go ahead with the Bulls to play Marlin Coast Rangers at 5pm at Endeavour Park Field 1.
