Bush life video competition
RURAL and remote community living is the focus of a Royal Flying Doctor Service and Elders state-wide competition that could earn a winner $10,000.

The Outback Explorer Competition is seeking local videos that celebrate regional lifestyles and encourage everyday Queenslanders to tell their stories, RFDS (QLD) chief executive officer Meredith Staib said.
“This is a fantastic initiative for people to get creative and share a glimpse of life in regional, rural and remote Queensland,” she said.
“We want to see everything from school runs to station life, morning routines to community gatherings.”
Elders is supporting the initiative with a $10,000 first prize to “help shine a light on the stories behind life in the bush”, Elders QLD/NT state general manager Lisa Hewitt said.
There are also three runner-up prizes of $1,000 each, and one winner will receive a Premium Adventurer Rescue Swag.
The Outback Explorer Competition runs until 26 August. All videos must include the Outback Explorer Competition sticker for the duration of the video, which is available to download on the competition website.
Videos can be posted to Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok.
