Calling all FNQ artists
ARTISTS from across the Atherton Tablelands and Far North Queensland are invited to be part of the 2026 Millaa Millaa Art Exhibition.
The exhibition will showcase an outstanding collection of original artworks by emerging and established artists working in a wide range of styles and mediums.
Entries will close on 25 August for the show to be held at the Millaa Millaa RSL Hall, Oak Street on 11 September.
Artists are encouraged to submit entries in a variety of categories, with works ranging from traditional landscapes and portraits to contemporary pieces, photography, mixed media and three-dimensional works.
Association spokesperson Colleen Amoretti said the exhibition was designed to celebrate the incredible artistic talent found throughout Far North Queensland.
“The Millaa Millaa Art Exhibition is more than an art show. It is a community event that brings people together to appreciate creativity, support local artists, and experience the cultural richness of our region,” she said.
“Whether you’re an artist entering your work, a visitor looking for inspiration, or someone searching for an original piece of art for your home, there’s something for everyone.”
The exhibition will run from 5-13 September with opening times from 9am to 3pm daily and is being sponsored by the Millaa Millaa Progress Association, the TRC, the Lions Club, Mungalli Creek Dairy, and Dozoco Builders.
The official opening night will be held on 11 September from 6pm to 8pm.
Artists must deliver their work on 1 September from 9am.
Entry to the Millaa Millaa Art Exhibition will be free.
