Calling all local food makers
A POPULAR food truck and community event has sent out a call for farmers, growers and local food makers to be a part of the fun.

Cairns on a Fork is launching a fresh new Farmer’s Market section, aimed at celebrating the incredible produce grown in Cairns and across the Atherton Tablelands.
Organisers are looking for fruit and vegetable growers, honey producers, seafood suppliers, local meat producers, egg farmers, cheese and dairy makers, bakers, coffee roasters, sauce, relish and chutney makers, jam and preserve creators, and herb and spice growers.
“If you grow it, catch it, raise it, roast it, bottle it, bake it or create it, we’d love to hear from you,” according to a post on the Cairns on a Fork Facebook page.
Anyone interested can go to the page and message the organisers.
The next event is scheduled for 19 September from 3pm-9pm at the Griffiths Park Cricket Ground.
