Casino to celebrate Chinese New Year
THE Reef Hotel Casino will celebrate Chinese New Year with a special show this Friday night.
The celebrations for the new year began on 20 February with Traditional Lion Dancers performing at the venue.
A second event, “A Night at the Opera”, will be held this Friday at 7.30pm on the BAR36 stage.
Patrons will be entertained by the Australasian Art & Stageworks Chinese Opera singers, alongside Chinese dancers and traditional lion teams.
The Reef Hotel Casino said the opera performance would offer “something totally different staged on the BAR36 stage” and described it as “an exceptional evening of entertainment”.
The event is free.
The celebrations mark the casino’s 30-year milestone, with the venue inviting the community to “come and celebrate with us”.
