Celebrating business excellence
BUSINESS excellence will be celebrated at the 2025 Mareeba Chamber of Commerce awards night in November, but organisers are urging locals to nominate worthy recipients now.
The Mareeba business excellence awards are held biennially and aim to honour local business achievement and showcase greater emerging and established businesses.
Categories include New Business, Excellence in Retail, Excellence in Rural/Agriculture, Excellence in Tourism, Excellence in Service Industry and Best Revitalised Business categories.
A winner from those categories will also be named Business of the Year. There will also be two People’s Choice awards – for Community Service and Excellence in Customer Service.
The chamber says the Business Excellence Awards is a capacity-building program that allows participants to perform a “business health check”, be part of a supportive community who are going through a similar journey and have the opportunity to be recognised as a finalist or category winner.
Nominations close on 25 August. To nominate a business, go to www.mareebachamber.com.au/awards/nominations. The awards ceremony will be held at the at Mareeba International Club on 1 November from 6.30pm.
