Mareeba and District Chamber of Commerce has issued its second survey of members to ensure it has the latest information on how the conflict with Iran is affecting industry sectors.

“It has been six weeks since our initial survey,” Mareeba Chamber president Joe Moro said.

“This feedback is critical to help directly in the chamber’s discussions across all levels of government and with key industry organisations.”

The survey seeks to identify the particular industry of operations of the respondents, fuel issues or risks; fertiliser issues or risks; timeframe for significant risks; action taken to mitigate significant risks; comments and data (for example, what effect the current challenges have had on operations, including fuel levy etc.)

“It is important that all members receiving the survey respond promptly in their own best interests,” Mr Moro said.

“The information we receive will better equip our chamber to advocate and represent the greater percentage of respondents on an industry-by-industry basis as well as the overall effects across all sectors of our membership.”
