Come dance the night away
A COMMUNITY dance night that will celebrate Valentine’s Day and also help local causes is being planned for next month at Yungaburra.

Everyone is invited to enjoy a lively night of music, dancing and community spirit at a special Community Dance Night on Saturday 14 February at the Yungaburra Community Hall in Cedar Street.
The event is organised by Yungaburra Beautification Inc (YBI) in conjunction with Lalli’s Op Shop, the Country Women’s Association (CWA), and the Yungaburra Men’s Shed, with the Men’s Shed operating the bar (cash only) on the night.
Popular local performers Joe and Wendy Paronella will provide live music, promising an enjoyable evening for dancers and music-lovers alike.
The dance will run from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for the whole community.
Everyone is encouraged to dress in red (celebrating Valentine’s Day), and there will be a prize for the best dressed couple.
Adding to the evening, the Tablelands Social Dance Club will demonstrate dances throughout the night, encouraging participation and showcasing a variety of social dance styles.
A spokesperson said events like these played an important role in the community.
“This community dance night brings people together while supporting the wonderful local organisations that do so much for Yungaburra,” the spokesperson said.
Tickets are $20 per person, including supper, and are available online or can be purchased locally (cash only) from Pluto & Nessie and Lalli’s Op Shop.
Community members are encouraged to come along, support local causes, and enjoy a fun night out.
