Much Ado About Nothing features a cast of talented actors who are equally adept with Shakespeare’s witty dialogue, slapstick comedy and thrilling sword fighting.

The story revolves around young noble soldier Claudio who has fallen in love with beautiful Hero, but their romance is sabotaged by the villainous Don John.

And while this plays out, the characters plot to engineer a romance between the feuding couple Beatrice and Benedick, with hilarious results.

With romance, intrigue, mistaken identity and trickery, playing out against a gorgeous painted backdrop from Antonia Chew and Rob Mian, this riotous comedy has something for everyone.

Directed by Sarah and Emmy Riber, the show features stars of previous APA Shakespeare productions, including Nakita Growden, Emmy Riber and Kai Mackin (Julius Caesar) with actors Joshua Lane, Lara Madin and Evelyn Hart, known for their musical theatre performances, stepping up to take on lead Shakespearean roles for the first time.

Tickets are $15-$25 and available through Trybooking.com and Tableland Books, Atherton. The production runs from 15-25 October.
