Homegrown music sensation Becci Nethery will touch home soil at the beginning of March as she returns for the first time in over a year bringing her music back to local ears.

Chillagoe born and bred the 24-year-old singer-songwriter currently lives in the Northern Beaches in Sydney where she is recording her new upcoming single and album.

The award-winning artist has promised local fans that they will get a sneak peak of her soon to be released songs during her performances.

Due to COVID Becci has been unable to book her annual flight home but now with the borders open, she has her fingers crossed that her upcoming flight will get her home.

“I try to come up every year, but it was looking like I wasn’t going to be able to make it, but the borders are open now, so fingers crossed,” she said.

“I have been wanting to get back for a while, I’ve had tickets booked a few times and have had to cancel them.

“I haven’t played any gigs for a year, I haven’t seen my family for a year, I’m so excited to be coming up.”

After hunkering down in the Vault recording studio, Becci is excited to be bringing her new material to old fans.

“I’ve been working on these songs for a while and I’m really excited to start to share them,” she said.

“Hopefully, I will have a new single out in the next couple of months.

“I’m just so excited to be back at it and being back home.”

As she was born into a musical family Becci is excited to spend some time with her family and possibly have a jam session before she returns to the beaches.

Becci will be lighting up the Mareeba Leagues Club on March 12 from 7pm to 10.30pm and the Post Office Hotel in hometown Chillagoe on March 13 from 4pm to 7pm.
