THANK YOU: Crime Stoppers Far Northern Volunteer Area Committee hosted a presentation last Thursday presenting its supporters with appreciation awards.

Crime Stoppers Far Northern Volunteer Area Committee (VAC) thanked their loyal supporters last Thursday with a small presentation taking place at Anzac Park in Mareeba.

The VAC was formed last year and is headed up by Chairperson Mladen Bosnic who sought to bring Crime Stoppers back into the community last year.

After a year of effort he has successfully acquired a number of assets and support from the community, he decided to thank those supporters last Thursday with some appreciation awards.

“Today was to acknowledge the contribution made by individuals and corporate citizens of the Tablelands,” Mr Bosnic said.

“It goes a long way and we rely on volunteer donations and if we don’t get that and the community support then we would cease to exist.

“The awards were presented by State Manager Carmen Jenkinson.”
