Crime Stoppers show appreciation to locals

Crime Stoppers Far Northern Volunteer Area Committee (VAC) thanked their loyal supporters last Thursday with a small presentation taking place at Anzac Park in Mareeba.

Crime Stoppers Far Northern Volunteer Area Committee(VAC) thanked their loyal supporters last Thursday with asmall presentation taking place at Anzac Park in Mareeba. 

The VAC was formed lastyear and is headed up by Chairperson Mladen Bosnic whosought to bring Crime Stoppers back into the community last year. 

After a year of effort he hassuccessfully acquired a number of assets and support fromthe community, he decidedto thank those supporters lastThursday with some appreciation awards. 

“Today was to acknowledgethe contribution made by individuals and corporate citizensof the Tablelands,” Mr Bosnic said. 

“It goes a long way and we rely on volunteer donations and if we don’t get that and the community support then we would cease to exist. 

“The awards were presentedby State Manager Carmen Jenkinson.”
