THE ATHERTON Tablelands Visitor Information Centre has called for locals with a passion for the wonderous sights, sounds and attractions of the Tablelands region to consider becoming a volunteer.
Those interested in learning more about the volunteer roles at the visitor centre are encouraged to attend a morning tea at Atherton’s Station Café Platypus Park on Friday, July 30 from 9.30am.
The volunteer role has many positives which includes meeting new people, making a difference to the community, contributing to the growth of the Tablelands and spending time with like-minded people.
Training and support will be provided and previous experience is not required.
“The volunteers at the visitor centre play a critical role in promoting the Atherton Tablelands,” Tablelands Regional Council Mayor Rod Marti said.
“I encourage those with a real passion, knowledge and interest in the ongoing promotion of the area to consider taking on one of these fun volunteer roles.”
Register your interest to athinfocentre@trc.qld.gov.au or call 1300 366 361 by Monday July 26.
