With honour they served

POLICE officers paused recently to remember and honour their brothers and sisters in blue who have been killed in the line of duty.

National Police Remembrance Day is a special day is held annually and is regarded as one of the most important days on the policing calendar, a day dedicated to remembering, honouring and thanking past and present police officers. 

Due to COVID restrictions in many areas across the country the usual marches and ceremonies were closed to the public, including in locally. 

Instead, the Tablelands Patrol Group hosted a small ceremony at the police station in Mareeba, with serving Police officers and family members of past officers attending.
