Countdown to Beef2027
THE countdown to Beef-2027 is charging ahead, with around 200 days until the gates open in Rockhampton for the Southern Hemisphere’s largest gathering of beef industry stakeholders.

Beef2027 is set to feature Australia’s premier national stud and commercial cattle championships, more than 500 trade fair exhibits, food and entertainment, and opportunities for producers, researchers, businesses, and investors to connect.
The State Government has a record $4.5 million partnership with Beef Australia, supporting the week-long event from 2-8 May next year.
By supporting the biggest industry event for beef producers, the Crisafulli Government is backing the beef sector to help drive the ambitious goal to increase the value of primary production to $30 billion by 2030.
The momentum for the 2027 event is building, with the launch of preliminary events such as the International Program and Handshakes Program designed to support trade, investment, and long-term industry relationships, with expressions of interest now open.
Applications are also open for Pitch In The Paddock, which gives start-ups, commercial ventures, and researchers the opportunity to pitch beef-focused innovations to industry stakeholders and investors.
Queensland’s beef industry is a major contributor to the State’s economy and regional communities, with Queensland home to almost half of Australia’s cattle herd and beef worth more than $6 billion in 2024-25.
