Country music to fill rotunda
COUNTRY music will echo through Bruce Jones Park at Yungaburra this Sunday.

The Yungaburra Community Rotunda will feature the Walkamin Country Music Club at its monthly free Sunday in the Park concert.
The Walkamin Country Music Club is known for its regular open mic events, supported by a dedicated club backing band, and for showcasing talented performers. Over the past three years, the club has also been a highlight of the “Savannah in the Round” festival.
This Sunday’s performance lineup includes an impressive array of local artists: Brendan Wright, The Blue Jays (John and Beryl), High Country (Carmel and Bonnie), Peter Cobbe and Dave Wilson, Kevin Robinson, Greg Sutton and the Farm Boyse, Darryl Chaplain, as well as Walkamin CMC Band members Peter Jones, Gerry Meir, and Kevin Lee.
The free concert goes from 3pm-5pm. This is a family-friendly free event, but attendees can donate directly to the band.
Refreshments are available from nearby shops. Parking is available via Short Street. In case of rain, the alternative venue will be the Yungaburra Community Hall.
Next month, the rotunda will host a concert on Sunday 8 June featuring the beloved local band, Bold as Brass Two.
Comprising talented locals, the band features John Godfrey on keys and brass, Des Godfrey on bass, Ian Poggioli on drums and vocals, Joe Paronella on guitar and vocals, Werner Braun on trumpet and keys, and Chris Bourke as a vocalist.
Guided by Werner’s musical direction, Bold as Brass Two brings joy and energy to their rehearsals, despite the challenges of busy lives. Put the concert date in your diary.
