Country theme for Sunday concert
THE much-loved sounds of country music will fill the air at the Yungaburra Community Rotunda this Sunday when the Walkamin Country Music Club takes to the stage.
Set against the backdrop of Yungaburra Village, this free community concert promises a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon of live music, showcasing talented local performers in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Audiences can look forward to a wonderful mix of classic country favourites and contemporary tunes, appealing to music lovers of all ages.
The afternoon will feature performances from a range of talented artists, including Darryl Chaplain, The Butler Sisters (Lauren and Melissa); High Country Duo (Carmel and Bonnie); The B Team (Peter Cobbe, Dave Wilson, Kevin Robinson and Kevin Lee); The Blue Jays (Beryl and John); Greg Sutton and Joseph Taffee; and Gerry Mier – multi-instrumentalist and stage manager.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair or picnic rug, settle in on the lawn, and enjoy the sounds of country in the park from 3pm-5pm.
Raffles will also be held on the day in support of the club.
Refreshments will be available for purchase from The Whippy Express.
In the event of wet weather, the concert will be relocated to the Yungaburra Community Hall. Parking is available via Short Street for easy access to the rotunda.
