COWGIRL Country is starting to become a popular name at awards ceremonies, with Rebecca Magro’s business up for yet another recognition this weekend.
The local businesswoman will be flying down to Sydney this week where she will attend the Celebrate Women Awards as a finalist in her category.
The news comes off the back of her recent appearance as a finalist in the Cairns and Regions Local Business Awards, where she finished in the Top 12 businesspeople in Far North Queensland.
“It blows me away that people keep nominating me for these things,” Rebecca said.
“I feel like I’ve had a bit
of a run of finalist announce-ments lately.
“However, having the opportunity to represent the Tablelands in Sydney feels pretty special.
“It’s been a fairly surreal year for me and the business, particularly as a one-woman small business based here in Tolga.”
Rebecca will attend the awards ceremony this Saturday, hoping to bring back a gong for herself and the community.
