A MOBILE service that can provide information about various government agencies is visiting the region in the next week.

Services Australia’s “Desert Rose” is a 20-tonne truck operated by staff from Services Australia, providing regional and rural Australians with face-to-face services and tailored support.

Staff on board can help with Centrelink claims, payment and services information, updating information, confirming documents and supporting information, myGov services, social work support and referrals, Medicare registrations and accessing online services through a self-service terminal.

Desert Rose will be visiting Kuranda on Friday at the Kuranda Post Office car park (9.30am-4pm); Mount Molloy on Monday 8 September in front of the memorial hall (9.30am-2.30pm); and Dimbulah on Thursday 11 September opposite the Junction Hotel, Raleigh Street (9.30am-2pm).
