The Bulls started well, with Dylan Cummings putting the ball into the net just seven minutes into the match which was played at the Dolphins home ground.

No other points were scored in the first half, and when Mareeba scored again in the 60th minute of the game through Liam Pozzebon, the match could have been over, but the Dolphins struck back a few minutes later, with Patrick Moore giving them their one and only goal.

The Men’s Under 23s also celebrated a well-earned victory, defeating the Dolphins 3-2.

Steven Cater scored two goals for his side which was up 2-1 until Jack Dunne scored one for Stratford at the 70-minute mark, levelling up with the scoreboard.

It was Michael Curcio who sealed with the win for the Bulls just before the full-time siren.

In the women’s competition, the Bulls didn’t fare as well, losing 3-1 to Leichhardt at Jeff Pezzutti Park.

Teesha Potts was the only scorer for the Bulls side, scoring just before half-time.

This week, the women take on the Stratford Dolphins at home on Friday from 7.30pm.

On Saturday, the Bulls Premier Men’s side takes on Leichhardt at Mareeba’s Lindsay Australia Stadium from 7pm. The Under 23s play from 3.30pm.
