Disaster-ready roundtable
FIRST Nations organisations, emergency management agencies and community organisations are invited to take part in a First Nations Disaster Preparedness Roundtable in Atherton next week.

The Roundtable will feature First Nations disaster resilience research and discussion on disaster preparedness before, during and after major environmental events.
It will include keynote presentations from guest speakers, including Bhiamie Williamson, a nationally recognised First Nations disaster resilience researcher and Senior Lecturer at Monash University.
This free event, hosted by the Tablelands Regional Council and Better Together, will include a Welcome to Country, catered lunch and networking opportunities designed to support connection, collaboration and shared learning.
The Roundtable will be held on Wednesday 24 June, between 10am and to 3pm at the Disaster Coordination Centre, 15 Vernon St, Atherton.
